Had a great experience. Hostess was really friendly, explained the area to us and gave us recommendations - she is not there 24h (8.30-18.00 when we were there), so check regarding your arrival and departure time ahead of booking. The room had all the needed basics, nothing fancy but all you need for a comfortable stay - clean and plenty of room. Would definitely go back!

l'esperienza è questa: prenoto per 3 giorni, mi arriva la conferma tramite mail "prenotazione avvenuta con successo". Dopo due giorni mi arriva un'altra mail che dice: "questa prenotazione è stata cancellata a causa della carta di credito non valida". Voglio dire...farmi una telefonata o una mail di accertamento o qualcos'altro vi sembrava troppo? troppa fatica? SIETE RIDICOLI!!

Room itself seemed fine, however the fridge was broken (actually emitting enough heat to be a full blown radiator) and there was a nasty smell combining from the sink...Not sure whether this is an isolated issue as read a few reviews stating the same. No air con which would have been great given the heatwave and said smell from bathroom. It is noisy. You will hear other guests coming and going, walls seem very thin too. There were also workmen adjacent to the hotel rear finishing work on what looked to be a small bar/cafe. They began work very early each morning. There was also some drilling throughout some mornings which seemed to be from the hotel building itself. I stayed in room 8 which faces a small courtyard and the new bar/cafe. On occasion the cleaner would leave the large windows wide open after doing housekeeping...Not normally an issue but there's a roof running off the window to the courtyard area and someone could easily climb up and gain access to your room when you are out. The owners...One is a gentleman who doesn't speak much English but seems helpful. I arrived during the strict check in time to find the office closed but said man letting other guests in. He gave me the keys to my room and said to speak to the lady owner the next day. The lady owner seemed very blunt and not very welcoming or friendly. When mentioning the issues with the fridge and smell she became very patronising as if it was an insult bringing it to her attention stating that "the fridge does not make ice". The fridge was replaced later in the day however but the smell in the sink still lingered despite the housekeeper trying to sort it out. The location of the hotel is very central to Monterosso, being on the beach front road...But having said that it isn't a big town by any means, so you won't miss out or be inconvenienced too much booking any hotel in the town really. Overall, not a bad hotel but with the service and way we were spoken to throughout our stay I would not recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a pleasant stay.

con la mia compagna abbiamo pernottato per tre notti alla fine di ottobre, più che un hotel come scritto è un affittacamere, infatti occupa solo un piano della villa, e non ha la reception, le camere sono pulite ma piccole, la signora non è stata molto accogliente nel riceverci inoltre ha preteso il pagamento anticipato perchè la mattina dell'uscita non poteva venire a riscuotere.
