Had a wonderful 5 night stay at Villa Igiea which was a relaxing end to our Italian honeymoon. We checked in right at the end of their busy season so they were no longer offering some of the activities and city shuttle I had read about. However Salvo and Alessia really went above and beyond to help us plan a few things we wanted to do. The bar is beautiful and Roberto was great!

They have great amenities in the room which we were extra grateful for seeing how we made notes to get toothpaste and shaving cream but showed up to the hotel to find out they proved excellent brands of these things already! The rooms are beautiful. Huge ceilings and I loved the shower head and how parts of the bathroom mirror never fogged up! Really my only complaint was the bed. For how amazing the hotel is I was mystified how it seems to be appropriate to have hard rollaway beds placed together to equal a king sized bed. Other than that I was in heaven.

Interesting historical place. Great view. Comfortable room. Superb breakfast. Nice and friendly service.

Tired hotel who is past its best days! Limited staff compromises the quality of its service. Rooms get made after 3pm, rooms have a stinky odor (the hotel arranged an odorizer in our room) torn bedsheets. Not so great price to quality ratio!

Beautiful building with extensive grounds. Overall a good stay but paying anything more than ~$200/night would be too much. In general the building is somewhat tired and dated and in order to retain its 5 star rating a refresh with attention to detail is needed. Bathroom fittings had parts missing, caulking was missing. Some areas of the gardens were covered in trash, patio furniture was damaged and function furnishings were not stowed.

Staff were fabulous.
