Nice staff, good selection of cars, but did not like the fact that there was a mandatory insurance that wasn't advertised online.

We rented a Pathfinder. We were very happy with our vehicle. The counter at the airport took us directly to the shuttle. Dollar was only a few minutes away on the shuttle. We were made aware of the extra insurance, but not pressured to take it. Bring printed proof of insurance from your credit card company, if using that. You will need to take SLI insurance. They were honest upon return of the vehicle. Our flight was moved and they even offered to shuttle us to our hotel!

Everyone was very friendly when picking up and dropping off the car. They are very efficient and they have frequent shuttle service to/from the airport. An easy to find desk once you exit customs helps you feel at ease. You do need to be aware of the insurance requirements and deposit amounts in Costa Rica which probably cause some headaches to some travelers. Just budget for their risk elimination package, prepay for fuel, and you will have little to no worries and be happy you did.
